Delaware Indictments, the Sturgis Rally and General Observations of the Week

  • by

Topic #1: Two 21-year old women from Delaware – Olivia Winslow and Cameron Amy – were indicted Tuesday for second-degree robbery, second-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree assault, offensive touching and felony hate crime. The charges came after a video appeared showing them stealing a “MAGA” hat from a 7-year old boy. Three of the charges are felonies, and the two women could spend as much as 15 years in prison.

Thoughts and Observations:

  • For those who doubt Trump Derangement Syndrome is real, you need not look any further.
  • It seems clear that authorities are throwing the book at the two, and rightfully so. This type of nonsense has to stop. I only wish they would take a similar approach with assholes like the BLM protesters going after the older, white couple in Pittsburgh that was caught on video.
  • Nonetheless, the whole situation really is a shame. Two young women, with their whole lives in front of them, were so blinded with hate that their lives will never be the same again. So sad.

Topic #2:  According to a group called The IZA Institute of Labor Economics, the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which had over 400,000 attendees, may have caused more than 250,000 new cases of COVID-19.

Thoughts and Observations:

  • This is a story that was reported by all of the network news channels and the major national newspapers.
  • The conclusion was made not by infectious disease experts… not by medical scientists…. but by labor economists… yet, again, it was covered by all of the mainstream media. Wow.
  • For those who are keeping track, the amount of COVID-19 cases due to any of the hundreds of ”Black Lives Matter” riots and protests across the country is unclear. The reason those numbers are unclear is because they haven’ been reported. The reason they haven’t been reported is because the media is not even the slightest bit curious as to what those numbers are. And the reason for the lack of curiosity is that they don’t really care about new COVID-19 cases, they just care about furthering their narrative against President Trump and his supporters.
  • Can there be any doubt that COVID-19 is the smartest disease in history? It infected Oklahomans after the Trump rally a few months ago; it’s infected a quarter-million people due to a largely Conservative biker rally in South Dakota; but it knows not to infect folks at leftist gatherings. Remarkable.

Topic #3: President Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, due largely to his efforts in bringing about the recent treaty between Israel and the UAE.

Thoughts and Observations:

  • Considering Al Gore won the award for his largely inaccurate, political propaganda film An Inconvenient Truth, and considering Barack Obama won it in 2008 for doing nothing other than being elected, the award has lost virtually all of the credibility it once had.
  • Still, it is pretty cool that he’s been nominated, and he certainly deserves it.
  • The Israel/UAE agreement is a monumental achievement and is being dramatically downplayed by the mainstream media. If that treaty had been achieved by Barack Obama or Bill Clinton, it would be touted as the greatest diplomatic achievement of the 21st century… do not doubt it.
  • I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that, ultimately, Trump will not win the award. I hope I’m wrong.

Topic #4: The University of Michigan – Dearborn campus’ Center for Social Justice and Inclusion had been  facilitating a “non-POC café” meeting via Zoom for students who identify as “non-persons of color”. According to TMZ, “The college is owning up to it and apologizing now, saying the way it described the virtual events was ‘not clear and not reflective of the university’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.’”

Thoughts and Observations:

  • The fact that anyone even thought of this idea is scary. If  this idea sounds like segregation, that’s because it is segregation.
  • This incident is a perfect example of an obvious fact: many, if not most, progressive policies and ideals are not progressive at all… they are regressive. Let’s go back to Jim Crow, for crying out loud.
  • Has anything good come out of all of this “social justice” bullshit? Anything? Are people any freer?  Are people safer? Is there more equality? Is the country any more unified? In fact, has anything happened as a result of all this crap that is not bad?

Topic #5: The inexplicably successful reality television show Keeping Up With The Kardashians is ending after fourteen years and its final season in 2021.

Thoughts and Observations:

  • Better late than never.
