Knucklehead Of The Week: Pete Buttigieg Was Home Playing With Babies While Supply Chains Crumbled

Pete Buttigieg and his husband Chasten (I know, it still sounds weird to me too, saying “his husband”) became the parents of two newborn babies in August, and Buttigieg took some time off: fair enough. When my children were born, I took time off as well, and if I remember correctly, it was a week or less each time. I spoke with a few friends on this topic, and they had similar experiences; a week off for paternity leave, if not less.

We need both courage and focus.  Courage is needed to stand up to those forces that will oppose us because they benefit from things as they are.  Focus is needed so that we do not become distracted by lesser matters and become ineffective.  There will be many things that we encounter that are urgent, but not important, and other things that are important but not urgent.

One thing is quite clear. The Biden team is on the defense. Nothing is working for them, and it is proving how ill-prepared they were to assume control of this country. Biden’s promise to unite the country was hollow, and if anything, we are more divided. As we head into the winter months, I fear for the country with the supply chain still broken and home heating adding to our “transitory inflation.”
