Knucklehead Of The Week: In A Week Full Of Stupidity, CNN Is The Stupidest [Watch]

In one of the more memorable lines from the original movie ‘Ghostbusters,’ Bill Murray’s character Dr. Peter Venkman was explaining what was about to happen to New York City due to the ghoulish upheaval they’d stirred up: “Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!” That statement could have also been used to describe the reaction from the left this week after the leak of the opinion from SCOTUS Justice Samuel Alito in the Dobbs V Jackson case. But of all those who lost their minds, and of everyone who said stupid stuff, CNN was the most hysterical.

Winner: CNN claims the real safety threat from SCOTUS leak is to abortion clinics.

Before we get to the absolute absurdity of the point, take a look at the actual footage. You can’t make this stuff up:

It’s not unusual to see gaslighting from the left-wing media, but this report from CNN has taken the phenomenon to new levels. There are plenty of safety concerns regarding the leak, and there have been plenty of death threats, but they have all been against the presumed justices who are apparently prepared to rule in favor of overturning Roe V Wade.

For instance, a leftist named Simon Gwynn had this to say on Twitter:

Meanwhile, at the Supreme Court, temporary fencing was put up to guard against violence at the court itself. Radical pro-abortion activists ‘doxxed’ the six Republican-appointed justices by releasing their home addresses spurring protests at their residences. And death threats against Justice Alito became so formidable, that he had to cancel appearances due to safety concerns.

While all this insanity was taking place, virtually no one on the left condemned the leak itself, and very few even spoke out against the threatened violence.

Because you see, when radicals on the right make threats or get carried away with a protest, that amounts to an “insurrection” and the left forms committees and tries to make the midterm elections about the atrociousness of it. But when leftists threaten to kill Supreme Court justices, leak confidential documents with the expressed intent of intimidating the justices’ rulings, and then attempt to instill fear in those justices with violent protests in the streets, that’s all fine and dandy.

This is how it works in American politics nowadays, which explains why the Democrats and their media ignored the violence. This also explains why they dismissed the break from institutional norms with the leak itself. But none of them tried to spin it in the opposite direction. None of them tried to pretend that the real threat was to abortion clinics. None of them except for CNN, which is why they are complete knuckleheads.

Honorable Mention #1: Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) suggests Dobbs V Jackson will lead to SCOTUS ban on interracial marriages.

It’s been far too long since we’ve recognized Mr. Swalwell in discussing the week’s top knuckleheads, so to you Congressman, we say, “Welcome back.”

Swalwell, who is probably best remembered for his on-air flatulence on MSNBC and for one of the worst presidential campaigns ever run, stated, “The Republicans won’t stop with banning abortion. They want to ban interracial marriage. Do you want to save that? Well, then you should probably vote.” Why stop there, Mr. Swalwell? Why not suggest Republicans are going to bring back slavery? He wasn’t the only one to make a stupid statement like this, but we can’t recognize everyone. And Swalwell was long overdue… what a moron.

Honorable Mention #2: Scotland’s prestigious Edinburgh Napier University is instructing midwives on how to treat a “Birthing Penis.”

First, let’s let the statement try to explain itself. Here it is:

“It is important to note that while most times the birthing person will have female genitalia, you may be caring for a pregnant or birthing person who is transitioning from male to female and may still have external male genitalia. You need to be familiar with the catheterization procedure for both female and male anatomy. For this reason, where appropriate, this book refers to the birthing person.”

Confused? I’ll bet. And after all, isn’t that what we need in health care professionals? Confusion? We must wonder when will this silliness reach the point where folks start to step back and say, “Hold on a second, this is getting too crazy.” With crap like this, we have to think we’re getting pretty close.
