Blue City Bloodbath! Democrat-Run City Sees Weekend of Murder And Mayhem

Crime is skyrocketing across the country, especially in cities and states run by Democrats, particularly violent crime.

In Philadelphia, a dubious record was set last year with a total of 562 homicides and is on a similar pace this year (spoiler alert – if Philly is able to avoid exceeding last year’s mark and 2022 becomes only their second deadliest year ever, Democrats and their media will be trumpeting their wonderful results). Things have gotten so bad in San Francisco, the most leftwing city in the country, that leftist D.A. Chesa Boudin is facing a recall, thanks to his soft-on-crime approach and the carnage it has caused.

And in our nation’s capital, right under the noses of President Joe Biden and the Democrat-run Congress, violent crime has jumped over 25% compared to last year as Washington D.C. Democratic Mayor Muriel Bowser’s mindset with law enforcement is typical of so many other blue cites.

Sadly, perhaps the strongest example of the failure of the Democratic Party’s methods towards crime prevention is in Chicago. Over the past few decades, Chicago has become synonymous with street violence and murder, and note that there hasn’t been a Republican mayor in Chicago since William H. Thompson left office in 1931. And this past weekend was one of the worst we’ve seen yet for brutality in the Windy City.

According to ABC-7 in Chicago, a total of 24 Chicagoans were shot over the Mother’s Day weekend, with at least six of those victims having died. One of the victims was a twelve-year-old boy who was shot while standing on the sidewalk in the city’s Little Village neighborhood last night when two suspects approached him and began shooting. Fortunately, the child is expected to survive.

So, here we are, beginning another workweek in Chicago and looking back at a horrific weekend of bloodshed. Mayor Lori Lightfoot, a Democrat of course, seems to have neither a plan to correct the problem nor the fortitude to implement one even if she did.

State’s Attorney Kim Foxx is best known for her friendship with Barack and Michelle Obama, attempting to let race-hoaxer Jussie Smollett walk free with no accountability, and her penchant for trying to apply the lightest sentences possible to criminals.

Making matters even worse is the fact that Chicago’s City Council is essentially just one big echo chamber. Of the fifty current members of the council, 46 of them are Democrats and four are Independents. Yes, you read that correctly… there’s not a single Republican on Chicago’s City Council.

Clowns like Mayor Lightfoot and Democratic Governor J.B. Pritzker will use any possible excuse to shed blame for the problem. COVID is the reason for the violence, they’ll assert. They might accuse some type of racial inequity as the culprit. Or they may even blame inanimate objects such as guns as the reason why people are killing other people.

Democrats have been running Chicago for generations, and they will do whatever they need to do to prevent being held accountable. Meanwhile, children and innocent bystanders are getting mowed down on the streets, and voters keep electing Democrats to office. When will enough be enough, Chicago?
