The usually reserved and non-confrontational Melania Trump did not hold back her thoughts on former aide Stephanie Grisham as she ripped the latter for demonstrating a “dereliction of duty” and trying to “maintain relevancy and profit by using [her] name.” The comments came amidst a no-holds-barred interview with Fox News.
The interview covered a variety of topics before it began honing on the day of January 6th and the various, often nefarious, narratives floating around. Particularly, she addressed those from disgruntled former employees whom the former First Lady accused of making “a last-ditch attempt to resuscitate her ruined career and reputation.”
The New York Post provided an overview of the fiery interview:
““Ms. Grisham was not in the White House on January 6, and her behavior in her role as chief of staff ultimately amounts to dereliction of duty,” the former first lady claimed, later adding that her subordinate “failed to provide insight and information into the events surrounding January 6 as she had abandoned her post in Washington, DC.
“Shamefully, this behavior has only partially become public knowledge; yet was consistent for Ms. Grisham,” Melania Trump went on.”
Ms. Trump was referring to the alleged “revelations” brought to light by another despicable White House aide, Cassidy Hutchinson. In her pathetic testimony, Hutchinson proffered bizarre, outlandish recountings of how the Trump family handled that infamous day.
For her part, Grisham shared a screenshot on social media of an apparent text exchange between her and the former First Lady, in which she was suggested to have declined commenting on the escalating violence at the Capitol building.

The New York post continued with a review of the interview, beginning with a comment made by Grisham and the rebuttal by Ms. Trump.
““Knowing her [Melania] as well as I did at that point, it was so unlike her to not have condemned it, that that was the moment it all kind of broke me,” Grisham told CNN’s “New Day” June 29. “Yesterday, hearing Cassidy’s testimony, I felt compelled to show that text because it was a lot of context I thought, and again, knowing Melania like I did, I was so disappointed and discouraged and sickened that she wouldn’t stand up and just say simply, ‘There should be no violence.’”
“Had I been fully informed of all the details, naturally, I would have immediately denounced the violence that occurred at the Capitol Building,” she told Fox News. “And while Ms. Grisham’s behavior is disappointing, it is not surprising or an isolated incident.””
While I have my own theories about what ultimately happened on January 6th, one thing we do know for certain is that tiny, insignificant people with massive egos such as Cassidy Hutchinson and Stephanie Grisham will always find a way to, as Ms. Trump stated, both maintain their ego-stroking relevance and most certainly seek ways to profit.
Most creatures in the D.C. swamp sold their souls and moral compass long ago. Stephanie Grisham has simply exposed herself as one more person willing to do whatever it takes to climb the wretched ladder. She is a pitiful figure throwing her former boss, by all accounts a wonderful human being, under the bus for her fifteen minutes.
