Awesome: Heroic Father Will Not Be Charged For Fatally Shooting Daughter’s Ex-Boyfriend, Captured In Chilling Doorbell Camera Video

An Ohio grand jury determined that the heroic actions of a father protecting his daughter from potential harm would not lead to charges for the shooting death of a former boyfriend.

Mitchell Duckro fired several shots from inside his house after his young daughter’s former boyfriend, twenty-two-year-old James Rayl, showed up at their front porch looking zonked and slamming his body into the front door after his repeated doorbell pings went unanswered.

Fox News narrates the chilling interaction:

Duckro’s daughter, Allyson Duckro, had ended her relationship with Rayl more than 18 months prior, but the young man left a voicemail on her phone the night before and showed up at her house around 11 a.m.

Ring Doorbell camera footage — obtained by the Daily Mail — shows Rayl ring the doorbell and step back and wait for a few minutes. He then walks off before returning and ringing the bell again. Rayl is seen then opening the glass or screen exterior door before pulling at the handle of the main door.

The video, seen on Daily Mail’s website, shows the young man defy the protective father and homeowner. Fox News continues:

“Duckro and his family tell Rayl to leave, but Rayl instead begins to slam his body weight into the door. Duckro is heard from inside the home saying, “I’ve got a gun.” The Mail reported that Rayl broke the deadbolt and managed to get the door open a few inches before Duckro opened fire.

Rayl was struck three times — in the left and right shoulders and back — and is seen walking to the driveway before collapsing. A female voice is heard screaming inside after the sound of the gunfire.”

This is a story that the media will ignore because it undermines their inhumane stance on gun rights and also features white people. In declining to indict the father, the grand jury cited Ohio’s “Stand Your Ground” as well as “Castle Doctrine” laws. Thankfully, Ohio had both. For others living in deep blue states, where castle doctrines are replaced with asinine “Duty To Retreat” laws, the outcomes could have been very different.
