Now the administration and the MSM are desperately trying to reinflate the bubble. But it doesn’t work that way. Propaganda doesn’t work without some semblance of credibility. Once lost, credibility is gone forever. Now reality is driving us to examine everything we’re being told.
Is it possible that we needed a multi-billion-dollar company to sacrifice itself on the altar of wokeness for other companies to learn that politics in business, is a good way to go out of business? It seems that Disney has done for corporate board rooms what Loudoun County Virginia did for school boards – convinced Americans to stand up and say, “enough, just stop.” Thank you, Disney, for making that sacrifice.
The Department of Education was created in 1867, though not as a cabinet-level agency at that time. Its mission was to promote educational quality by discovering best practices in use at local school systems and communicating those practices across the country. When founded, it had a staff of 4 and an annual budget of $15,000. Now it has a staff of 4300 employees and a budget of $60 billion ($60,000,000,000).
I will never consider her my mother. My actual mother earned the exclusive right to that title. But I do feel a sense of gratitude now. She chose to give me life and then chose to give me a better life than she could provide (for whatever reason that was). I understand that she made a decision for my welfare and likely suffered considerably for it. I hope now she knows how her decision affected my life.
Or they could go the spineless coward route and ensure that some semblance of Roe and Casey are preserved. Their original opinion won’t matter. They’ll be perceived as malleable to the wishes of the mob. It will ensure that leaks and intimidation become some of those norms and traditions that Roberts is so concerned about.
But forgiveness of that debt doesn’t mean that it magically goes away. Free stuff from the government is never free. That student debt was funded via US Treasury notes. Somebody will have to continue paying the interest on those notes – and that somebody is the American taxpayers. Forgiving student debt merely transfers the loan payments from the person who benefitted, to the federal government – which means us. A larger portion of our federal taxes will be diverted away from things like defense and infrastructure, to pay for someone else’s loan.
But my response to Charles, Brad, and Hannah is a bit different than Ayn Rand’s response would likely be. My reaction is: Are you freaking kidding me? A company with unique access to children, is advocating the sexual grooming of 5-year-olds! And these morally bankrupt fools are disturbed by Ron DeSantis’ actions? What Disney is doing is an outright attack on our children. I would advocate it being closed down and shuttered by any legal means available.
But Joe has already shown his true position. He canceled contracts and leases. And again, it was a priority action, he did it on his first day in office. Nobody believes that he is now more committed to domestic energy production than the leftist wackos who control him. It’s all an election stunt, and he is far more likely to change course again after the election, than deliver on his promise.
The Easter Bunny of the United States (EBOTUS for you political neophytes) is actually running the show – and what a show it is. Around the White House, he is also known by his protective detail call sign, Harvey. I can’t tell you how much better I’m sleeping now. It’s way more comforting that America is being run by Harvey than the weird guy that sniffs children, yells at voters, whispers to reporters, and shakes hands with thin air.
The state of Florida has decided to reconsider the preferential treatment it has given the Disney Corporation since the 1960s. It turns out that Disney has benefitted from a number of legal and financial benefits not given to any other company in Florida. Under Ron DeSantis’ leadership, the state is putting some brainpower into thinking about if that’s really best for the state.
Why didn’t the Democrats just leave Trump alone when he left office? He probably would have faded into obscurity had they done so. No doubt, he would still be screaming that he was cheated. But even if he was, it would have come across as pathetic. Nobody likes a sore loser – not even one that was cheated. But the anti-hatred party couldn’t turn their hatred off that easily. They have hounded Trump to the point of absurdity and kept his name on the front page.
Evidence presented by the prosecution was highly suspect, or downright misleading. For example: the jury was shown undercover video of the conspirators casing the Whitmer lake home. There was even video of their truck in the home’s driveway. Except all of the occupants of the truck were either agents or informants. None of the defendants were involved in casing the Whitmer home, because they had gotten lost that night.
Lunacy is not just a political disease. USA Today has declared a man in drag to be their Woman of the Year. Not to be outdone, Sports Illustrated did a feature on Lia Thomas. That would be the “woman” with a penis who just won the NCAA women’s swimming championship. Fortunately, Sports Illustrated didn’t feature Lia in its swimsuit edition – some things can’t be unseen.
The pinnacle of Democrat borking had to be the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. It marked the completion of their transition from donkeys to jackasses. They accused Kavanaugh of being a sexual predator, on the basis of the word of a proven perjurer, and the claims of Michael Avenatti. That would be the same Avenatti, who was once touted as a potential Democrat candidate for President, and is now a federal inmate – for extortion and embezzlement.
Leonardo DiCaprio is still yapping about global warming – or is it climate change this week, I forget. He’s demanding that we give up our cars and freeze to death in the winter to save the planet that he promised would perish 20 years ago. It’s a slap to our face every time he boards a private jet to attend an environmental conference in Switzerland.
The committee wants to break attorney-client privilege because Eastman is obviously a criminal, since he works for Donald Trump and he is reported to have written a legal opinion that differs from that of the committee. That certainly makes him a “threat actor” (per the DHS), but I’m not seeing how asserting the constitutional rights of his client makes him a criminal.
The Democrats also benefitted. It turns out that the executives of those mega-stores donate predominantly to the Democrats. It’s part of their partnership (see crony capitalism definition above). In the 2016 and 2018 election cycles, 93% of Costco employee (mostly executives) donations went to Democrats. In 2012, the CEO of Costco even spoke at the Democrat National Convention.
When confronted with these arguments, the critics almost always retreat with the statement that, “At best, we’ll waste a lot of time and money to create an amendment that the government will ignore just like it does the rest of the constitution.” When the critics say that, they are asserting that our constitution is already dead, and we are no long a republic.
They weaponized the Peoples Department of Justice (PDoJ) as the enforcers of the Democrat party. Its mission was to hide Democrat party corruption – like the Biden influence for money business and the myriad of Clinton scandals. The FBI under the PDoJ also worked tirelessly to undermine all things Republican. It actually setup a tip line as part of it’s vetting of Brett Kavanagh, apparently inviting more perjurers like Christine Blasey Ford to come forward.
Unlike the 70s, this time around, a big piece of our malaise is that we’re saddled with a president who simply does not care about the suffering of Americans. Has there been any instance in which he has shown genuine empathy towards others? He met with the relatives of the Marines who were killed in Afghanistan and talked about his son. He attended a 9/11 memorial on the tenth anniversary of that fateful day and complained about people protesting him. He hasn’t even put the needs of his own children ahead of his own.
What Trudeau doesn’t get, is that this isn’t about trucks. It’s about working-class Canadians having legitimate grievances that aren’t being addressed. They are suffering under draconian COVID mandates – to the point of being forced to take a vaccine that doesn’t work. In nearby Minnesota, a majority of COVID cases are now among the vaccinated. Trudeau hasn’t even considered the science behind that evidence.
A virus of no more virulence than the common flu has been used to order some businesses shuttered while leaving others open. Wannabe dictators have restricted our movement and assembly. We’ve been told when we can and can’t go to church and which political rallies are threats to democracy. The “my body my choice” crowd has even dictated that we all take experimental drug treatments, with questionable benefits, and alarmingly high mortality side effects.
Joe’s denial that his “adults back in charge” administration wouldn’t do any such thing, gave the Republicans an opening to have a little fun in this guerilla war we call 21st-century American politics. If the Dems don’t want to distribute crack pipes, they shouldn’t have any problem codifying that into law – right? The Republicans in the House submitted a bill prohibiting the government from doing any such crazy thing. It’s called the Halting the Use of Narcotics Through Effective Recovery Act. The HUNTER Act for short
So, after a few days, Judge Brooks called court back into session, and changed her mind. The convicted sex offender will not be required to register as a sex offender. She gave no explanation – but we all know why. It’s best to not draw the wrath of the LGBTQ community – call it the Masterpiece Bakery lesson. Their threats are way scarier than having an unrepentant, and unregistered sex offender, moving freely among underage girls.
Last week, Sen Jim Risch (R-ID) released a report with a somewhat different accounting of the state of our current hostage crisis. His report estimates that 15,000 Americans were left behind when we precipitously fled from Afghanistan. He further estimates that since our departure, 6,000 of those Americans have been rescued by private organizations. Let that sink in.
