The government has been able to use these fifth columnists to suppress wide dissemination of information they find inconvenient or disruptive to their activities and plans. Already, the term “hate speech” is gaining widespread use to suppress freedom of speech in numerous settings. Since it lacks a precise definition, it is easily adapted to apply to anything the Left finds objectionable. As such it becomes justification for any number of attacks on free expression and exchange of factual information.
Most places have legal requirements that authorized election observers have the right to observe the ballot transport process from the delivery doors to the counting centers to vote totaling and reporting. Specific legal rights vary, so observers need to check just what rights exist, but if any “election official” tries to interfere with or claim the processes cannot be observed, perhaps a call to an informed sheriff is in order. At minimum, the event should be documented with names, dates, times, and other information recorded.
There are powerful interests that don’t want election fraud exposed. Many of them can be found within our own government. Our election systems have been declared vital infrastructure, yet the actions of agencies specifically charged with protecting that infrastructure have been to complain that anyone who points out the existence of fraud is guilty of undermining faith in our election systems.
If all the recruiting and training can be accomplished before the 2022 midterms, this new army of agents could be unleashed on the public, or at least a portion of the public, just in time. Could most of the Republican candidates end up defending themselves from charges of tax evasion, improper use of campaign funds, and other tax matters instead of spending their time and resources campaigning? What about all those conservative voters on whom this new army of auditors descends just before election day? Might not happen, but can we trust an organization with a history of being weaponized against the Right?
Through application of our 10th Amendment powers, we can quickly and efficiently rectify problems that have been growing over decades. Our government has grown increasingly distant from the needs of the people and more focused on their own power and privilege. Our country was in just such a situation when we separated from a distant and authoritarian government. At that time, our founders produced a list of grievances that they presented as justification for separation. In the same vein, we have our own list of reasons for a 10th Amendment reset of a government that has gone off the tracks.
Current and previous Democrat administrations have not hesitated to use the IRS against political opponents, and there is no reason to believe that the current administration has recently developed any sort of conscience in the matter. Indeed, the use of the FBI against the J6 people, as well as others like Roger Stone, Steve Bannon, Peter Navarro, and many others in addition to Donald Trump is ample evidence that they will use any tool the Deep State can provide to retain Power.
Only this last weekend, I wrote of how Trump was subject to persecution by the Left, particularly as embodied in the present Democrat party and their supporters in the administrative state. I was not aware at the time that the FBI raid was in the works, but it is consistent with all the Left has been doing ever since Trump announced his candidacy in 2015. His recent announcements of how he would clean up the administration were he to be reelected in 2024, merely made it even more imperative that the Left stop him as soon as possible.
Now the Left seeks to render him ineligible for future office. They have warped and distorted and subverted and undermined the integrity of our Congress, our courts, our military, and our system of justice in their desperate attempts to prevent Trump from ever representing our cause again. They think that if they can block Trump, they can keep us from thwarting their perverse agendas and that they can retain the power they have usurped.
Trump, among others, was right. We must drain the swamp. Yes, the swamp creatures will fight back, and it will likely be a long and painful struggle, but we need to realize that the Administrative State is a failed model of government. Wherever it has been implemented, and under whatever name, it has failed. Byzantium lent its name to the condition that results when bureaucracy rules.
It seems reasonable that the intent of the Third Amendment was not limited to providing troops with room and board, but also included a right to be free in their own homes from spying and government surveillance. If they would have foreknowledge of modern “bugging” capabilities, as well as the continuous centralized listening of Alexa, Siri, Android phones, Nest thermostats, internet connected cameras, and numerous other modern monitoring devices, they might have written the Third Amendment somewhat differently.
We must recognize that we already have the power, and need simply to reclaim it. We do that by making our demands known to officials and legislators, beginning with school boards, city officers, county officers, state legislators, and representatives. We reclaim our power by creating the institutions we want without asking permission. We don’t even need forgiveness. We need faith, courage, and a willingness to stand firm in our convictions of what is right and tr
California also has an internet-based system that allows voters to print ballots at home. All that is needed in most locations is a voter name and date of birth – information readily available online and through the voter registries. With this system, tens of thousands of ballots can be created for unknowing voters, including multiple ballots for individual voters, printed, and mailed off for inclusion in official counts.
Of course, all these actions have the benefit of irritating the Right. They provide distractions that keep Conservatives too busy to address the underlying activities that give the Left the power to engage in such provocations. An old saying about alligators and swamps comes to mind. The unfortunate thing is that since the need for attention originates within the psyche of the Left, no amount of outside attention can ever fill the hole that resides within.
The path of Freedom, in contrast, is a path of abundance. A wealthy people are a free people. Many of the problems we experience today could easily be solved, or would even cease to exist with sufficient wealth. As pointed out in the Economic Freedom Index, the freest nations are also the most wealthy. Matt Ridley points out that one of the essentials supporting innovation is freedom.
The sheep will always feed the wolves and will always be at their mercy. A nation of laws is just a feeble attempt by the sheep to confine and control the wolves. At some point, the wolves will cast off the ineffectual shackles of law and resume their rightful power. This attitude is why the Left has always supported slavery, except when it was expedient to pretend otherwise.
During his campaign, the current pretender to the office of President promised to completely eliminate fossil fuel use in the US. Acting on the thoroughly debunked theory that CO2 from fossil fuel use was causing the climate to change in catastrophic ways, this pretender to the office has issued several Executive Orders that have taken large steps toward fulfilling his promise.
Attempts to match sexual identity with immature gender identity often lead to tragic outcomes when the child grows to maturity and realizes the permanent nature of an ill-considered choice. Sex is a permanent genetic characteristic and cannot be altered by superficial means – trimming off bits here or adding bits there – no more than a bird can be turned into a dog by cutting off its wings and putting it on a leash.
The 2020 election is over and done with – it’s ancient history that can’t be changed. Sure, we’re stuck with a senile fool for another couple of years, but we can stop him this year and get rid of him in 2024. Seems time for Trump to talk about what he will do when he gets reelected instead of staying stuck in the past. He lost. Time to move on.
One habit common to most of us and especially of parents dealing with children is to try to present the conclusions without elaborating the underlying processes we went through to arrive at the final result. The usual result is that we get ignored or dismissed. Many have described the process as being like teaching a pig to sing. The attempt is nearly always unsuccessful, and it annoys the pig.
We do not need to cross the boundaries of Constitutional protections to have effective methods to reduce the criminal use of guns. We just need to be careful and intelligent in the methods we devise and apply. We start with acknowledging that guns have both positive and negative value, and then work on realistic solutions that preserve basic rights while discouraging harmful behavior.
In the current controversy around abortion and Roe v Wade with the Supreme Court, the Left is demonstrating just how nasty and intolerant they can be. They dox those who disagree with them, they stage protests and violent demonstrations, They organize opposition and generally do whatever they feel will get their way, without consideration for the opinions or rights of others.
Most of my questions after the movie centered around this concern. As I have discussed previously here and here, these questions have been with us at least since the election. Ample evidence has been presented documenting the fraud that was observed, and an audit in Arizona brought out even more. At this point, the evidence that the 2020 election was stolen by fraud is massive and conclusive.
High and increasing prices for food, gas, housing, and nearly everything else, massive illegal immigration that is only getting worse, vaccination and mask mandates, destruction of our military, support for the Taliban and Iran, and so many other destructive acts have turned even some of their strongest supporters against them. One is inclined to attribute it all to massive stupidity and incompetence, but what if it’s not?
While it is convenient to blame things on Biden and to think that removing him from office would solve our problems, there are deeper issues at work. It is doubtful that Biden knows what he is actually signing when he signs an Executive Order. It is almost certain that he hasn’t read it. The actual orders are prepared by staffers working behind the scenes, likely with input or direction from various swamp creatures in the DC swamp.
The Progressive view of adverse experience, though, is that there is some competing agent acting to impose its own “reality” on theirs. Anything that does not conform to their reality is a result of sabotage or other action by an opponent, and has nothing to do with an objective reality that they deny exists. If Socialism doesn’t work it is because capitalists are sabotaging it, so it order to make it work, capitalists must be eliminated.
