The very vocal opponents of voter ID invariably use the venerable ‘Racist!” charge to silence all others. Without fact, logic, or reason, they claim voter ID is the primary means of voter suppression, especially among Blacks, who tend to support their liberal agenda. They fail to explain just how ‘racist’ voter ID creates voter suppression or stifles voter’s rights. “It’s just ‘racist!” All in. All done. End of argument. OK – let’s run with that.
Anti-Racism is Racism
Americans admire those who accept responsibility. Tiger Woods has been successful at levels we will almost certainly never see again. Yet Tiger has never played the ‘race card.’ Tiger Woods has been blessed to be born an American, and one with exceptional God-given talents, and he has never tried to portray himself as some sort of victim due to the color of his skin.
As their case is heard and the potential for an end to the overtly racist affirmative action program that many schools have adopted is placed in the crosshairs, a lurking question is if any of the justices will have the guts to speak up on the issue and help the others see the light and gain the courage to strike down the policy.
Using fraud and endless fear-mongering about “public health” they are working harder than ever to put individual liberty out of favor.?? After decades of lecturing us all about slavery, they seek to do exactly that—enslave people! How foolish and naive for those who happen to agree with them about one thing today, to believe they will be saved from their own enslavement about something else tomorrow.
Right now matters are being settled for us in a most unsettling way, partially because conservatives are busy playing Mr. Nice Guy. But those who can’t be reasoned with can only be fought. And when in the course of trying to destroy all that is great and good evil people try to hurt you, you hurt them back — badly and repeatedly, till they can fight no more.
Some may now say that Justice X will be a Role Model™. That’s a laugh. Prominent black Americans have long been plentiful and highly visible; we have black entrepreneurs, politicians, athletes, entertainers, billionaires, scientists, doctors, lawyers, judges, professors, journalists, intellectuals (and pseudo-intellectuals), diplomats, generals, a (billed as) black vice president and even have had a (billed as) black commander in chief.
It reminds me of what in Philosophical Logic is known as the “Argument of the Beard,” which asks: How many hairs does it take to make a beard. If someone answers 500, the next question becomes: But how about 499? That’s only one hair’s difference. Why can’t that be a beard? If you allow it, then why not 498, and on and on. So how many boxes need to be checked to lead a fully privileged life?
It is time to protest less and work harder for everyone to take advantage of every person’s infinite possibilities in this country. On Sunday, Tony Dungy, the former coach of the Indianapolis Colts, said that there are not enough Black head coaches in the NFL. He said that the owners had responsibility for hiring more Blacks but then qualified his statement in his following sentence. He went on to say the most qualified person needs to be hired.
Which party advocated racial segregation? That would again be the Democrats. In fact, segregationist southern Democrats even had their own club which they called the Dixiecrats – harkening back to the antebellum glory days of the south. The Dixiecrats were racist – and proud of it. George Wallace famously said, “Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever.” He was the Governor of Alabama – also a Democrat.
Let’s say it’s early February 2019, and you’re a Robin Roberts or a Chris Cuomo (a pre-firing Fredo) and you retrieve your brain from where you checked it at the station door. You subsequently realize that Smollett’s story is about as plausible as Slick Willie’s saying “I did not have sex with that woman Monica Lewinsky.” You then report on the manifold holes in it. The result?
Don’t get me wrong, Racism is real, and it’s a problem. But not as big a problem as governments and corporations leveraging it for influence and power to create the worst sort of discrimination of all. The despotism of an elite that systemically denies everyone, regardless of color, outside its ruling class, not just opportunities but the natural rights with which we are all born.
Reid is a Harvard graduate, though her major was film studies. She is the daughter of immigrants. Her father is from the Congo, and her mother is from Guyana. Both educated people who met in Grad school in Iowa, of all places. Rather than celebrate the opportunity this country has given her and her parents, she chooses to dwell on this country being a systematically racist hell hole.
Call me naive, but I have always thought that having media outlets that cater to a particular race or ethnic group, in this case, Black, is itself Racist. I think that singling out groups to celebrate, such as Black History Month or Gay Pride Week, promotes division and does the opposite of their intentions. I was not raised looking through the lens of color, but people like April Ryan try to force us to look through their lens.
So quick is Rutgers when responding to injustice and racial animus that it disinvited her, apparently without bothering to investigate the claims in the petition. For her part, Daftari said the petition was made up of “baseless allegations and falsified quotes.” After some blowback from the media, the university decided to go into Public Relations mode and contacted her to say the talk was merely “postponed” and asking that a new date be set.
In Madison, Wisconsin, leftists have just declared a rock to be racist. It wasn’t adorned with any inscription. There was nothing racist about its name. But it had to be removed because its very presence on campus was offensive. Even an unthinking, inanimate object became racist because of something someone said about it in a newspaper article almost 100 years ago.
It’s time for America to move on from the racial issue. Slavery is over. So is Jim Crow. So is red-lining. We’re a society that treats people equally now. It’s time to recognize all horrible crimes, not just ones that fit some far left, anti-white narrative.
Unfortunately, the corrupt hacks that compose the Biden Administration have a different view of things. In their critical race theory-based, “anti-racist” view, past racism can only be “fixed” by present racism. So, rather than lampoon and attack the racist UBI program in Oakland, the Biden Admin decided to create a race-based loan program.
This attack shows just what is going wrong with America. Whether that’s because things are “unraveling,” as predicted by The Fourth Turning or simply because we don’t like each other anymore, society is getting more violent.
Critical race theory is deeply entrenched in public school districts across America, so much so that dislodging it will take a Herculean effort. Those of us who understand the enormity of what’s at stake have a duty to do everything in our power to eradicate CRT.
Mrs. Obama has reason to worry about her driving age daughters being shot and killed, but not by police. According to Heather MacDonald’s best-selling book, “The War on Cops,” black Americans between the ages of 10 and 43 die of homicide at 13 times the rate of whites—killed not by the police, not by whites, but by other blacks.
Just 30 years ago, Yugoslavia split apart because of hatred and distrust between competing factions. Its Balkanization resulted in 140,000 deaths and 2.4 million refugees. Is this the future we want for America?
Democrats are the very essence of bigotry, but they disguise their prejudice as wokeness and virtue-signaling. And while it must be enticing for Republican leaders to consider following the Democrats’ lead – thereby elevating women and non-white men to prominent positions simply because they are women and non-white men – they must resist the temptation.
Government-funded institutions should not be holding and promoting events where the attendees’ skin color is a determining factor for admission; particularly when those attendees are school children. It’s wrong.
Joe Biden’s (handlers’) State Department, where appointees have decried “white male dominated” diplomacy as leading to “systemic racism.” They essentially assert that minorities and women would do a better job.
Watching the news this past year is all the proof I need that the melanin-deprived among us must make amends, somehow. So, I’m going to do my part to atone for my transgressions.
