Let’s be perfectly clear about one thing: Black Lives Matter (BLM) does not care about police brutality. BLM cares only about one thing. Power. The latest silence on the part of American and Canadian BLM chapters provides the starkest illustration of this sentiment yet.
This was favorite joke of Khruschev. He would laugh his big Russian bear laugh every time we said that. Khrushchev didn’t like many jokes (Stalin and Brezhnev didn’t like any jokes), but Nikita did like that one. Also, that shoe-banging incident at the United Nations didn’t really happen. That was just funny stunt on Milton Berle show. He was such funny man, but we never showed Nikita that episode. He was very sensitive man and would have been hurt.
What Trudeau doesn’t get, is that this isn’t about trucks. It’s about working-class Canadians having legitimate grievances that aren’t being addressed. They are suffering under draconian COVID mandates – to the point of being forced to take a vaccine that doesn’t work. In nearby Minnesota, a majority of COVID cases are now among the vaccinated. Trudeau hasn’t even considered the science behind that evidence.
Never mind that government authoritarians in Canada appear to be succeeding in destroying basic human freedoms of their citizens. Pay no attention to the legitimate concerns folks may have about receiving the vaccine, it’s what the government believes that matters. And forget about the permanent damage that’s been inflicted on so many of our neighbors, there are more important things to worry about. Like whether or not a horse was injured during a police crackdown last week.
No, they’re gathering because of the way they feel about Trudeau and the mandates. The appearance of regime journalists on the scene, there to try and frame the issue in a way that makes the protesters look bad, is just an added bonus to the anti-Trudeau crowd because it gives them an opportunity to make as much of a mockery of the regime as they’re making of Trudeau and his tenuous grip on power.
The US government, like Canada’s, has likewise been at war with its citizens. At least half the country has awakened to this unappetizing reality — even while somewhat less than half the country still catatonically follows whatever idiotic diktat the despotic bureaucracy spews out. Why, for instance, do so many still go about in face masks even where local regulations are lifted? (And especially in light of the overwhelming evidence that masks don’t work?)
In fractional reserve banking, simultaneous withdrawals by enough depositors will collapse the entire system, it’s a mathematical certainty. Governments’ deposit insurance funds have only a pittance of the deposit liabilities they supposedly insure. Once those funds are depleted the government either closes the banks or informs people they’ve lost their deposits. If that happens in Canada, you’ll have a Depositors’ Insurrection joining the Truckers’ Insurrection.
By being unwilling to listen to the voice of the Canadian people, by ignoring science, and by seeing the Convoy as a threat to his authority rather than the urgent message it is, Mr. Trudeau has brought the situation to crisis. At this point, neither side can gracefully back down. Trudeau cannot walk back his rhetoric nor can he stop the progress of the Emergency Powers Act. He is committed to escalation until his opposition surrenders or is destroyed.
About a week ago, reports suggested Canada and the US were coordinating intelligence assets to scry into the lives of protesting truckers. They were labeled domestic terrorists. It turns out that plan may not be limited to the truckers. Anyone voicing support could expect a visit from the regime.
A tractor trailer rig full of the number one selling item from the Minnesota based pillow manufacturer is set to pull out of their docks and hit the highway for the Windsor/Ottawa border today. Mike and his team have been reading stories of the drivers in the convoy sleeping in their trucks with whatever supplies they were able to bring on short notice with them for the trip, and immediately saw an opportunity to help.
Authoritarian governments, on the other hand, tend to favor coercion and intimidation. That is much easier as they only have to issue commands and punish those who disobey. This is consistent with the political philosophy of the Left since, in that view, the people exist to serve and obey the State. An underlying assumption is that one or a small group of bureaucrats is smarter than the whole of the population and is best able to dictate a proper course of action.
In other words, the truckers are uniting in oppositioin to tyranny, refusing to tow away their trucking brothers, the ones who have effectively shut down Ottawa and are raging against the tyrannical rules of the Trudeau government. And it’s not just Ottawa; according to the bureaucrat, the same problem is cropping up all over Canada.
Meanwhile, a dozen or so other members of the Western Civ Club of Nations are ditching their Covid-19 mandates and restrictions. The reason: despite the mighty forces of deliberate organized mind-fuckery and resulting mass delusion, the Covid-19 “vaccines” are finally revealed as a criminal fraud, a danger to all who submitted to them, and an insult to the age-old accrued intelligence of the human race as used-to-be represented by science, ethics, and law.
According to reports, a deal was underway to move the protest away from the border, but that fell apart. The truckers are not leaving, and they’ve been joined by other groups who oppose the mandates. It’s been over a week. The premier has disclosed that changes to the policy in his province could be announced within a week. That’s a long time, and there’s plenty of political pressure coming from both sides, but the truckers don’t appear of a mind to move, even though the Dudley Doorights are opening investigations.
The truckers have said they will remain in Ottawa until all Canadian government COVID mandates are rescinded. GoFundMe has joined Big Tech to decide that the protest is no longer peaceful and has frozen the entire fund and shut down the page set up for the Canadian truckers. Call it what it is. They have stolen $10 Million given to the truckers for fuel, food, lodging, and other expenses these truckers will need.
I will take freedom however it comes, though with a tinge of regret that the American people have relinquished their claim to being the biggest lovers of and advocates for freedom during the rise of Covid-ushered totalitarianism. While the American people dutifully stayed home, masked up, and complied with vaccine mandates, major European cities exploded with nightly rage. Now, our docile neighbors to the north are up honking nonstop in Ottawa. It’s a beautiful sight to behold.
