There is a difference between “Born Rich” and “Became Rich” – if one can really define this. The Became Rich would think it more difficult to improve one’s SES in the United States, feel greater empathy toward the poor, attribute poverty to external circumstances, believe that the poor are sacrificing many things in life to improve their socio-economic conditions and have greater support for redistribution.
One might be tempted to respond immediately that AOC has it backwards, that, in fact, capitalism is about freedom and socialism is about dictatorship. However, it is worth examining closely the precise words in which current socialists like AOC express their grandiose visions. For, AOC actually does not say that capitalism is a greedy irredeemable system. What she says is that capitalism is a greedy irredeemable system to her.
The combination of Wall Street and D.C. is of course unbeatable. It accounts for the huge deficits that are being forced on our children and their grandchildren. For what? Power for a few and huge wealth for fewer. This has been the continuous program since the Federal Reserve began to eliminate gold as the basis of our monetary system for the bankers’ benefit.
What makes Elon Must great is that he’s independent and bows to no one. He’s a living version of the American Creed and American Dream.
It’s human nature to want to benefit financially from hard work, risk and innovation. There are thousands of scientists and corporate executives who are millionaires because they were responsible for the development of life-saving medicines. Not only should we congratulate them on their financial success, we should collectively shake their hands, and say, “Thank you, and may God bless you.”
