Knucklehead Of The Week: Chris Wallace Bought A Ticket For The Titanic After It Had Already Hit An Iceberg

Wallace’s choice of CNN was truly puzzling from the get-go, but when the news broke that he was going to be heading up the on-air talent for the soon-to-be-launched premium streaming service known as CNN+, we really began to wonder what the heck he was thinking. Jumping to CNN, and then agreeing to be the face of CNN+, was akin to taking a new job at Chernobyl as the existing employees were walking out the door with a glow.

BREAKING: Major Announcement Regarding CNN+… That Didn’t Take Long

The decision to pull the plug on the service after only one month comes after its much-ballyhooed launch and widely publicized disastrous implementation. Subscriptions to the service were paltry which shouldn’t have come as a surprise considering that the ratings for the free version of CNN have been plummeting.

Trouble In Paradise? Rumors Abound That Chris Wallace May Already Be Bailing On CNN+

A buzz throughout the industry began to circulate last month that things had become so bad, with subscriptions to the premium service coming in far below their overly optimistic expectations, that extensive layoffs at CNN+ were imminent. And there’s no doubt that these failures are the driving force behind the apparent seller’s regret that Wallace himself is now experiencing.

CNN Deeply Worried About “The Big Lie” – But Which “Big Lie”?

Perhaps by the “Big Lie” CNN means the lie by the Biden administration that single male illegal immigrants are being turned away at the border that was exposed when bodycam footage acquired through a Freedom of Information Act request “shows federal contractors dropping off migrants at the Westchester County Airport in White Plains, N.Y., last summer, with one contractor on the scene saying the Biden administration was ‘betraying the American people.’”

CNN Tanking: Six Reasons For Its Failures

During the Gulf War in 1991, CNN shined like no other news network before. Their access to official military footage, embedded reporters, and around-the-clock coverage of the conflict reset the standard for war reporting, and we all tuned into the network to watch America kick the crap out of Saddam Hussein. It was at this time that CNN’s slogan of “The most trusted name in news” might have been accurate. But not anymore.

#4 Brian Stelter (AKA Cryin’ Brian) –
Until recently, Stelter was best known for frequent on-air sobbing at a level to make even colleague Don Lemon blush. But in late-October, Stelter gained further notoriety when he came to the defense of fellow CNN personality Jeffery Toobin. Toobin, as you may recall, was caught spanking his monkey during a Zoom call with colleagues from CNN and The New Yorker. So what was Stelter’s defense of Toobin? Stelter explained that Toobin’s behavior was “an accident.” Yup, because that type of thing happens all the time, don’t you know. One minute, everything is fine, you’re on a Zoom call interacting with folks, and then wham! All of sudden, you’re choking your chicken… accidentally.

What the Toobin Scandal Really Exposes

The media’s indifference to the Jeffery Toobin scandal is just one more example of their aversion to the truth. Engaging in self-abuse while one interacts with their colleagues during a Zoom meeting is repulsive, regardless of whether or not one’s laptop’s camera is functioning, and regardless of how boring that meeting might be.
