One might be tempted to respond immediately that AOC has it backwards, that, in fact, capitalism is about freedom and socialism is about dictatorship. However, it is worth examining closely the precise words in which current socialists like AOC express their grandiose visions. For, AOC actually does not say that capitalism is a greedy irredeemable system. What she says is that capitalism is a greedy irredeemable system to her.
Run for positions on the local school board. Turnout for school board elections is notoriously low and elections are often decided by just a few hundred votes. The teacher’s unions have gotten used to the fact that they can control these elections by simply getting a good turnout of educators at the polls. With invaluable help from a fawning media that helped him conceal his true ideological beliefs, America’s first Marxist president was swept into the White House with the enthusiastic endorsement of the American people. Five days before he was elected, Obama vowed to “fundamentally transform the United States of America.
Make no mistake: it may appear that many in today’s Democratic Party are merely flirting with socialism, but communism itself is a natural progression. And if the outright embrace of socialism is not yet mainstream ideology for Democrats, it’s not far off.
