But more importantly, Abbott’s buses have exposed the Democrats. The “not in my backyard” responses from Bowser and Adams have highlighted their hypocrisy. They destroy their credibility when they pooh-pooh the problem and preach about compassion when it’s a problem from 1,500 miles away, and then throw a hissy fit when it lands in their lap. Greg Abbott’s idea to ship the migrants to NYC and DC was a masterstroke, and the poll numbers are showing its brilliance.
Adams and Bowser are trying to spin an administrative situation into a political one. Politics is the process by which one attains power, but once such control is achieved, those officials must govern effectively. Both Adams and Bowser may have succeeded initially with their politicking and bamboozling of naïve voters to get them into office, but when it comes to actually running a government they’re failing miserably.
Violent crime in NYC is up 40% over last year, and 2021 wasn’t exactly a banner year either. Shootings have doubled compared to 2019. As a result, half of New Yorkers now say violent crime is the city’s number one issue. The crime problem has almost certainly inhibited the city’s post-pandemic recovery, and residents have apparently had enough. Rest assured, it is for this reason that Adams is now diverging from the DeBlasio/Cuomo approach to crime prevention.
Bowser Breaks: Diversity-Loving Washington DC Mayor Calls For Drastic Measure To Deal With Illegal Immigrants
If Muriel Bowser, Eric Adams, Joe Biden, and every other prominent Democrat were being honest, they would admit this: Those immigrants don’t belong in New York and Washington because they don’t belong in America. If they are here illegally, they should not have been sent to New York and Washington because they should have been sent back to Mexico as soon as they crossed the border. Or, better still, they never should have been around to have been put on buses by Abbott and Ducey.
After Barack Obama’s first four years in office, our friends on the left began to recognize the reward structure that was beginning to form for anyone who claimed to have been subjected to racism. Victimization was incentivized. It paid to be oppressed. Since that time, the original definition of ‘racism’ has been bastardized to an extent that it is no longer recognizable.
For the record, what two consenting robots do on their own time and in the privacy of their own, um… laboratories, perhaps?… is their own business. We’re not judging these robots. Live and let operate, that’s our motto. But since we’re all still getting accustomed to robots interacting with us, couldn’t we hold off on having them come out of the closet for a little while longer?
