Brain Fog: A Stubborn Symptom of Long COVID

There are no widely used and proven cures.  Some infectious disease experts recommend following an anti-inflammatory diet. Avoid fried foods, food high in saturated fat, and added sugars that cause inflammation. The Mediterranean diet, for example, is rich in antioxidants, which are known to mitigate inflammatory effects in the brain and body.  Also, get adequate rest and stay hydrated, according to some physicians.

Long COVID Defines A Long Pandemic

This important finding was made by Prof. Resia Pretorius, a researcher in the Department of Physiological Science at Stellenbosch University.  She started looking at micro clots and their molecular content in blood samples from individuals with long COVID.  The findings have since been peer-reviewed and published in the journal Cardiovascular Diabetology in August 2021.
