What Do We Do With The FBI Now?

Senior leadership positions need to be staffed with career investigatory or police leadership experience.  The headquarters of large metro police departments should be prime recruiting grounds.  Senior leadership positions should not be staffed with prosecutors, elected District Attorneys, or other political appointees.  As we have seen, installing political operators at the FBI, leads to political behavior by the agents, which inevitably will morph into corruption.

How Did The FBI End Up In This Mess?

Comey didn’t just fail to stop the hoax; he was an active participant.  In his first meeting with President Trump, “The Cardinal” assured the President that he doesn’t do “weaselly” things.  He then did the most weaselly thing possible, he bypassed the White House Counsel’s office and sent two agents to set a perjury trap for the newly appointed National Security Advisor – General Michael Flynn.

The FBI Is Not What It Used To Be

The FBI promoted integrity throughout government by ferreting out corruption.  Paid spies like Richard Miller, Robert Hansen, and Aldrich Ames were caught.  Bought off politicians like those caught up in ABSCAM were nabbed as well.  The FBI ensured that public corruption came with real risks.

An Open Letter To General Mark Milley

I’m outraged that an agency for which I proudly worked for nearly 29 years was politicized and corrupted by James Comey who was accurately described as being “out of his mind” and a “crooked cop” by a former Deputy Director of the FBI.
