High and increasing prices for food, gas, housing, and nearly everything else, massive illegal immigration that is only getting worse, vaccination and mask mandates, destruction of our military, support for the Taliban and Iran, and so many other destructive acts have turned even some of their strongest supporters against them. One is inclined to attribute it all to massive stupidity and incompetence, but what if it’s not?
Sotomayor compounded her silliness by saying, “Omicron is as deadly and causes as much serious disease in the unvaccinated as Delta did.” No, the Washington Post corrected her giving her four Pinocchios, the paper’s worst rating for lying. Informed people have known that in South Africa, the Omicron variant has been less severe than other variants.
It’s time to start organizing our neighborhoods, at least in our minds, basing our thinking on reality. The main thing is get to know your neighbors. Know who will cower and who will stand up, who refuses to believe what’s happening and who sees clearly, who is waiting for someone else to do everything and who ready to defend himself, who is part of the problem and who part of the solution.
