Too many young people no longer know good from evil or right from wrong, and the end result is often manifested, not only in mass school shootings but in the slaughter carried out nightly on the streets of our nation’s largest cities – especially those with the most stringent gun control measures – and in the abortion clinics across our country.
Mental health professionals already have a professional responsibility to report any client whom they believe to be a danger to himself or others and that’s a sensible thing, but no one including them can tell the future. As it is, the system of reportage and follow-up has failed again and again. In a common-sense world, this makes the case for improving what we have, not expanding ineffectiveness further.
However, in just a few decades America would descend to where mass shooting events are becoming common enough to replace duck and cover with active shooter training for police and lockdown drills in our schools. With gun control laws continuing to be added to the books showing little effect. If the violence has continued to increase, then it can’t be the guns but the willingness of a person to use them.
If the government schools are incapable of keeping teachers, staff, and students from getting shot at, wounded, or killed, then the answer is not to disarm citizens who did nothing wrong. Letting authoritarianism swell to punish the law-abiding will never result in life, liberty, or happiness for anyone but those who rule.
Children as young as five have been put on these prescription drugs and made the above list of 37. These drug-addicted mothers pulled their own children into the drug-filled abyss with them and there were no fathers to help stabilize the situation. What were the doctors that wrote these prescriptions thinking? Were they thinking at all? Were they enjoying commissions from the drug firms?
We have seen this farce before. When CNN held a town hall after the 2018 mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School, the auditorium reflexively cheered Sheriff Scott Israel when he criticized the NRA. However, Israel is no longer the Broward County Sheriff. It turns out that before the shooting, Israel had earlier changed the department policies concerning active shooters from the instruction that they “shall” confront the shooter to the policy that they “may” confront the shooter.
Yes, police officers are asked to do a damn tough job every day, but when little innocent children’s lives are at stake and many are already dead or wounded and bleeding out, you don’t stand around with your head stuck up your ass waiting for someone to tell you what to do. You rush to save the innocent, whether it places your life in jeopardy or not; that’s what you were hired to do, and supposedly trained to do.
