As promised during the campaign and in his victory speech, now Governor Youngkin went right to work day one signing nine Executive Orders and two Executive Directives at the Virginia State Capitol. The actions include an executive order ending the use of inherently divisive concepts – including Critical Race Theory – in public education, an executive order affirming the rights of parents to make decisions on masks in schools, and an executive order terminating the Virginia Parole Board and requesting the Attorney General begin a full investigation of the Board’s actions.

Through President Joe Biden’s first 100 days in office, he had either proposed or implemented over $6 trillion in new, federal spending. Joe was spending like his son Hunter during a Vegas coke binge. The problem is, of course, Biden was spending money that doesn’t even exist. We were spending more than ever before and putting the country into more debt. Additionally, in late-January when Biden was inaugurated, the economy was already heating up as lockdowns and other Covid measures were being lifted, so we didn’t need more government spending. But that didn’t matter to Joe.
In this installment of our weekly Sunday Six conversation, PF Whalen and Parker Beauregard of The Blue State Conservative discuss six conclusions to be made from Election Day 2021.
I’m thrilled Glenn Youngkin won. I’m pleased that much of the country went from (D) to (R), because (D) is evil. I want to join in the chorus that this is somehow the turning of the tide. But I can’t. History and reality say otherwise. More importantly, the promise of tomorrow means nothing when the threat of today is being so universally ignored. What is everyone somehow missing? How can I be the only one seeing this stuff?
Except for the Infrastructure Legislation, the Republicans came out on top this week, and America sent a clear message to Democrats. We do not want your big spending, and we do enjoy our freedom. Democrats did not hear or chose to ignore the word of the people. They do this at their own peril. Not only did Republicans score big, but Democrats have given them soundbites and videos to use in every campaign in 2022.
Voters have caught on and they’re not going to vote for a Conservative, Inc. candidate that mumbles the right things from time to time but obviously is lacking in both vision and courage. They want someone like Trump who throws convention to the wind and fights to preserve (or should I say conserve, since, theoretically, we’re conservatives) that real America of our ancestors.
The entire approval process of the various vaccines has been rife with fraud, gamed statistics, sabotaged trials, bait-and-switch scams, and unaccountable manufacturing screw-ups — all immersed in a stench of moneygrubbing. The drug companies have refused to fully reveal the contents of the vaccines. Now they are ramping up an urgent campaign to vaccinate children following rushed and falsified clinical trials, with the statistical certainty that many more kids will be injured or will die from the vax than they would from Covid-19 itself.
Let’s be clear; what occurred Tuesday night is nothing more than a shot across the bow. The pundits, whose job it is to make mountains out of molehills to drive ratings, will throw words like “bellwether” and “death knell” about like firemen tossing candy at a parade. As with all things media, they’re lying. The politicians, too, will spin like dutiful little tops, declaring the “meaning” of Virginia or touting the “message the American people have sent”.
So, Terry McAuliffe and his campaign, who have been losing ground in their race to defeat Republican candidate Glenn Youngkin like CNN has been losing viewers, had a decision to make. They wanted to make a hit piece on Youngkin, obviously, so who to choose? Who should be the face of such an ad? Some milquetoast television announcer with a deep, melodious voice? Nah. Some up-and-coming, energetic young celebrity? Nope. They chose Eric Swalwell. What happened Terry, were Andrew Cuomo and Michael Avenatti too busy to make a cameo appearance for you?
Virginia might be the first battleground in the fight to reverse course. Since McAuliffe made that slip, his numbers have dropped in the polls, and a newcomer, Glenn Youngkin, has pulled even and has the Democrats petrified. Youngkin has exposed McAuliffe as a part of the Progressive plan and has taken his family-first approach to the people of Virginia. It is working, and he may pull off the upset.
One thing is quite clear. The Biden team is on the defense. Nothing is working for them, and it is proving how ill-prepared they were to assume control of this country. Biden’s promise to unite the country was hollow, and if anything, we are more divided. As we head into the winter months, I fear for the country with the supply chain still broken and home heating adding to our “transitory inflation.”
